I'm afraid that due to the continuing inclement weather and horrendous road conditions that tonight's dancing to the Conquerors is unfortunately cancelled at the Shearwater hotel in Ballinasloe. Apologies to anyone who was planning to make the trip to be with us from Lorraine, Tony, Frankie, Paul and James.

Come out on the 26th. and have a great night's dancing to the fabulous Conquerors at the the Shearwater hotel in Ballinasloe. Band is onstage at 22.30 and admission is only €15.

Des Lee from The Miami Showband.
Des took over as Lead Singer after the tragic death of Fran O’Toole. Undoubtedly the biggest drawing band in Ireland throughout the 70’s. Des wrote “Clap Your Hand Stamp Your Feet” one of their many hit records.
Eurovision stars Tommy and Jimmy Swarbrigg.
They performed for Ireland in 1975 and 1977. 20 hit records throughout their career, including “Looking Through The Eyes Of A Beautiful Girl” If Ma Could See Me Now” It’s Nice To Be In Love Again” “That’s What Friends Are For” etc.
The very first showband singers to write and record all of their own material.

Lorraine is one of the brightest talents to emerge from the latter days of the Showband Boom. Ex The Showband Show.

D J Curtin
Now Las Vegas based. Former Lead singer with The Kerry Blues Showband. Still has a great big voice which can cover everything from Tom Jones to Englebert Humperdinck.

The show’s exciting finale is an All Cast Salute To The Exciting Showband Era. All of the cast join up in a medley of songs from the unique Showband Years!
It will send you home with great memories of a magical and never to be repeated time in Irish popular music!
